SixString Pick Points

If you’ve already posted on SixString, you may have noticed that you received some “SixString Picks”. We recently introduced SixString Picks Points as a fun way to “gamify” SixString. We thought this would be a great way to reward community interaction on SixString. We (and you) shouldn’t take it too seriously, we just thought it would be a fun way to reward members. Here’s how it works:

When you complete certain actions on SixString such as:

• Completing your profile (10 Pick Points) 
• Creating posts (1 Pick Point per hour)
• Following another guitarist (1 Pick Point)
• Posting on the Introduce Yourself group for the first time (10 Pick Points)
• Creating a new Forum post (1 Pick Point per hour)
• Creating a new Group post (1 Pick Point per hour)

You will receive virtual SixString Picks. Some actions earn more Pick Points than others, but generally you get 1 pick per action, we’ve noted how many pick points you make next to each action above. These picks can be used to pay for items on SixString.com! We’ll also be adding additional ways to use your Pick Points. 🤘

When you complete an action you will receive an email to let you know you’ve received Pick Points. You can easily turn off notifications for pick points, if you want, by going to your account–>notification–>settings then scroll down to Gamification and select no for email alerts.
