Aussie vets The Angels celebrate 50 years in the game with new LP and a tour – and the first show is tonight

Storied Sydney rock veterans The Angels release their 14th studio album today in the form of Ninety Nine, and to celebrate its release – as well as the group’s 50th birthday – the five-piece kicks off a national tour today.

The Angels’ current line-up features original members John and Rick Brewster. Former drummer Nick Norton handles vocals duties, and is the group’s third frontman following Dave Gleeson’s stint and the original classic Doc Neeson line-up. Rounding out the five-piece is Sam and Tom Brewster – John Brewster’s sons – on bass and drums respectively.
