NAMM 2025: Highlights from the Ultimate Gear Show – Day One

The NAMM Show 2025 was packed with exciting innovations, unforgettable performances, and cutting-edge gear.

From iconic brands to emerging innovators, this year’s NAMM show had something for everyone. Here are a few highlights:

Fender’s Mysterious NAMM Booth

On the third floor of the convention center, Fender’s booth caught my attention with its bold signage displaying their iconic logos. However, when I arrived, it was clear this was a sales meetings only setup—no gear was on display! The only way I managed to check out the much-anticipated Jack White Fender Telecaster and Pano Verb amp was over at the Third Man Hardware booth. It was an unexpected twist, but at least Jack White’s booth delivered the goods.

Jack White’s Third Man Hardware

The Third Man Hardware booth was a highlight of the show, showcasing an array of killer (and very yellow) effects pedals, as well as Jack White’s new Fender Telecaster and Pano Verb amp. I had the chance to try the guitar (unplugged, unfortunately), and it felt incredible! The tremolo system behaves like a floating Bigsby, offering a unique playing experience. Although I didn’t get to try the amp, its build quality and design stood out. Definitely a bucket-list piece of gear for any musician.

Riversong Guitars and the Neck-Thru Adjustable Neck

Over at the Riversong Guitars booth, I discovered their innovative Neck-Thru Adjustable Neck system. This unique design allows for precise action and intonation adjustments, delivering enhanced resonance and electric-like playability. The craftsmanship and attention to detail on their guitars are second to none, making Riversong a must-watch brand. Their guitars are a dream for any guitarist looking for something that blends innovation with tradition.

Kala’s Ukulele Orchestra Plays “Africa”

One of the most fun moments at NAMM was at the KALA booth, where an entire ukulele orchestra performed Toto’s classic, “Africa.” The blend of island vibes and rock energy was infectious, and it quickly became a crowd favorite. This performance truly captured the spirit of NAMM—bringing people together through music. If you haven’t seen the video yet, it’s a must-watch!

Rock-In-Tune’s MISTRESS System

For Floyd Rose Tremolo users, the Rock-In-Tune MISTRESS (Modular String System) was one of the standout innovations at NAMM 2025. This system allows players to switch between multiple tunings in under three minutes without needing manual adjustments. By replacing your existing double-locking tremolo, the MISTRESS ensures perfect intonation, consistent string height, and familiar playability—effectively turning one guitar into many. This is a game-changer for gigging guitarists and studio musicians alike.

NAMM 2025 proved yet again why it’s the ultimate destination for music gear enthusiasts. From groundbreaking innovations to inspiring performances, this year’s show had it all. Be sure to check out the videos and photos for a closer look at the highlights—and let us know which piece of gear caught your eye!
