The Inevitable Tube Discussion
So my Blues Junior appears to need 2 new El-84s. Now I’ve got to navigate the murky world of tube manufacturers. It looks like my best (or only) options are:
• Electro Harmonix Matched Pair ($83)
• JJ Tubes Matched Pair ($51)
• Sovtek Matched Pair ($68)
Any thoughts on which ones to go with (other than price, where JJ’s win)! 🤔

I used sovtek EL84S in my AC30, and it sounded great, and we’re quite robust, have only used EH and JJ in EL34 amps, and both were good, the jj EL34s have different options re gain/headroom, but not sure this carries over to EL84S
